Chlorella: born with green blood

Here is one more super food, or shall I say the complete food: chlorella. Chlorella, deriving its name from chlorophyll, blood’s biochemical twin, shares all but one feature with blood- while blood is rich in iron, chlorophyll is abundant in magnesium. Hence how can chlorella not be the fountain of vitality for the human body if water, a simple bond of hydrogen and oxygen atoms is a primitive replica of our blood, minus the magnesium, iron and remaining biochemical properties.

Chlorella is a type of algae that has been on this planet a lot longer than we have. Hence it is not surprising that one considers it as a possible ancestor that contributes to our genetic code. Something that is so similar to us cannot possibly harm us, unlike other foreign, man-made products packed with chemical additives, that we consume on a daily basis. In this category I would like to include all the other artificial supplements that exist on the market- I doubt that the body is designed to recognize and fully utilize chemically crafted vitamins and minerals.

Chlorella is an excellent source of not only vitamins and minerals but also proteins and other phytonutrients. In fact it contains 50% more proteins than meat and it is a perfect protein alternative for any vegetarian. Still, chlorella true power is its ability to completely detoxify the body by eliminating all toxic metals. Metals, as you may well know are ever present now thanks to water pollution, every fish we consume today is a potential danger as it is packed with mercury. To make matters worse, heavy metals inhibit proper cell function which often times leads to cancer and mental retardation. If you are unsure about your diet or your water supply make sure you introduce chlorella into your dietary regime!

Chlorella is an athlete’s best friend. Not only does it cleanse the blood but it also optimizes oxygen level in the blood- enhancing endurance, conditioning and physical performance. Additionally chlorella is known as a powerful blocker of muscle aches and pains, making it an ideal sports recovery supplement. Finally it stabilizes blood sugar level, eases hypertension and reduces LDL cholesterol in the body.

Green is the color of health and chlorella symbolizes every aspect of health. If you have enough of it I’m sure your blood will turn green, and others will be green with envy when they see how you healthy, happy and strong you are!! I recommend the ‘Sun’ chlorella, a Japanese company specializing in highest quality chlorella production. Bear in mind that it is entirely safe to consume chlorella from this company as they cultivate it rather than sourcing it from the sea, a recent radiation victim from the earthquakes in Japan.

  1. I also believe that chlorella is a super food. It may taste awful but the health benefits are truly amazing. Some people may not feel the same with me but I know this is true because I’ve been taking this supplement for more than a year now. Mine is just from a different brand.

    • Yes it’s really fantastic! I used to take spirullina initially, but then I got more information about alternative algae supplements and decided to try out chlorella- I feel more energetic and I find it that it also regulates my appetite, I have much less cravings for sugary foods now!
