You probably came across different brands selling Aloe Vera juices, most of them marketing a sweet and flavorful Aloe Vera juice. If this is the impression you associate with the taste of Aloe Vera you should know that it is not Aloe Vera’s authentic taste, which is rather bitter and tasteless. So, do not fool yourself by thinking that the Aloe Vera juice you buy in the health store is representational of the true fresh Aloe Vera gel you find in the leaf.

Hence why I am writing this article today! The only way to extract all the benefits from the Aloe Vera gel is to buy the plant and make yourself a juice at home. I first discovered how to make it this year in Vietnam- you simply cut two or three leaves, filet them, rinse the gel 3-4 times with cold water and blend it with some orange and lime juice and a half a spoon of sugar.

I bought my Aloe Vera plant from Divine Cactus and waited just one day to get it! If you truly want to enjoy the benefits make the juice twice a day for 2 weeks.

  1. I remember drinking Aloe vera juice when I was little, my mom would boil the Aloe leaves that grew in our back yard, and make a drink out of them, I don’t know quite what it was for but she must have known what she was doing, she was a nurse…im guessing because many of the girls that she tended to were melnourished and had worms in their tummys it was a method to clean them out, and of course her motto “all for one and one for all” click here

    • That’s very nice 🙂 Aloe is amazing, it should be used on a regular basis due to its miraculous benefits. It’s quite delicious and refreshing as well especially when combined with citrus fruits 🙂
